The South Pacific Academy of Beauty Therapy is the very first of its kind in the region. Director / Principal Debra Sadranu, an Australian who saw the need for the appropriate introduction of this line of work catering to both locals and Fiji's Tourism Industry opened the first Institution in 1998. The Academy is located in modern premises in both Nadi and Suva. It offers the most up-to-date facilities, equipment and teaching techniques to ensure a comfortable learning and working environment. It offers girls a unique opportunity to study and attain a level of professionalism that will enable them to work both in Fiji and abroad.

The South Pacific Academy of Beauty Therapy is accredited with the Ministry of Education. Graduates attain a Diploma in Beauty & Spa Therapy and Certification of Assessment by the Advanced Association of Beauty Therapists, Cidesco Section, Australia. AABTh annual assessments ensure the academy maintains the highest of international standards.

The key course offered is a one year full-time Diploma Course in Beauty & Spa Therapy. The academy also offers certificate courses in Massage Therapy, Grooming & Make-up and Post Graduate Spa Management. Due to the rapid growth in the tourism industry, every year 95% of graduates attain employment opportunities. The local company of international standards has diversified into all aspects of Beauty and Spa Therapy including training, spa operations and production of their own skin & body care range, Essence of Viti.
